Elections Results Electronic Canvassing
Although we see election results the night of the election, the reality is the outcome of an election is not official until the completion of the canvass of voters and certification of results.
The purpose of the canvass is to account for every ballot cast and to ensure that every valid vote is included in the official results. The Catalyst-created Electronic Canvass (eCanvass) application streamlines and expedites this validation process.
Recognizing that laws and regulations for conducting the canvass vary by state and/or local jurisdiction, Catalyst’s eCanvass application is easily configured to aggregate every valid ballot cast, including:
- Absentee Ballots
- Early Voting Ballots
- Election Day Ballots
- Provisional Ballots
- Challenged Ballots
- Uniformed & Overseas Ballots
eCanvass is capable of producing reports, including certification results such as:
- Reconciled precinct totals.
- Reconciled vote center totals.
- Reconciled write-in totals.
- Reconciled uniformed and overseas ballot totals.
- Identification of duplicated ballots.
- Identification of replacement ballots issued at the polling place after a ballot was spoiled.
