Catalyst to Present at NASED/NASS Winter Meeting

Tuesday, January 19, 2010

Chicago, IL - Catalyst Consulting Group (www.catconsult.com) will be presenting at the request of the National Association of State Election Directors (NASED). The NASED Winter Meeting will take place January 28th-30th located at the JW Marriott in Washington, D.C. In response to Catalyst’s well-received solution to the recently passed Military Overseas Voter Empowerment (MOVE) Act, Catalyst will present to over seventy (70) delegates representing State Election Directors and the Election Assistance Commission (EAC). The presentation will focus on several MOVE Act compliance options developed by Catalyst in preparation for the November 2010 deadline.

While presenting at the NASED, Catalyst will participate in the National Association of Secretaries of State Winter Meetings. Topics covered will include Congressional Staff Review of Proposed Federal Legislation on Election Reform, Voter Registration Modernization, EAC Data Collection, and MOVE Act strategies nationally. Participation in both conferences provides experience and insight from a national level that continues to solidify Catalyst’s leadership in Elections Management Technology.

About NASED

The National Association of State Election Directors was formed in 1989 when a group of state election directors and administrators met in Reno, Nevada. The driving issue that spurred the group to organize was the concern that national networks were releasing presidential election results before all polls had closed. The recently enacted Help America Vote Act (HAVA) has increased the importance for communication and coordination among state election directors. Though the issues have changed somewhat over the years, the purpose of NASED has remained the same—to serve as an exchange of best practices and ideas. www.nased.org
